About the role
As a Frontend Engineer on the Product team, you'll build the web application that thousands of developers use daily to manage their architectural decisions, project memories, and knowledge graphs. You'll work with React, TypeScript, and Next.js to create fast, accessible, and beautiful interfaces. We care deeply about developer experience - both for our users and for our own team.
What you'll do
- Build and iterate on the Hopsule web dashboard - decision views, memory editors, capsule management, and the knowledge graph visualizer
- Implement real-time collaboration features for team decision reviews
- Create responsive, accessible components using our design system built on Shadcn UI
- Optimize performance for complex data-heavy views (graph rendering, timeline navigation, search)
- Integrate with our REST API and WebSocket endpoints for live updates
- Collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers to ship cohesive features
- Write unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of professional frontend experience with React and TypeScript
- Strong proficiency with Next.js App Router, Server Components, and modern React patterns
- Experience building complex, data-driven UIs with excellent performance
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Shadcn UI, or similar component libraries
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design
- Comfort with Git workflows, code reviews, and collaborative development
Nice to have
- Experience with data visualization libraries (D3, Visx, or similar)
- Background in developer tools, IDEs, or technical product UIs
- Familiarity with Framer Motion or animation libraries
- Experience with TanStack Query, TanStack Router, or similar data-fetching libraries
